A beautiful voice, Jean Ferrat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Ferrat) passed away a few days ago.
"La montagne" is a tribute to the mountains and its people who leaved their beautiful country for the promise of better jobs, but lost so much in the end.
What is not well known (not in Wikipedia), is that Torn was featured as the second song in the trailler of the movie "Message in a bottle" but the song is not in part of the movie itself.
